Breakfast: Porridge, raisins, powdered milk, butter, sugar

Day: Cashew, pea, and walnuts (Macadamia nuts are best, but not available in Punta Arenas), Salami, chocolate, dried fruit, occasional soup or hot meal from flask

Evening: Freeze dried meals (very nice!), olive oil, butter, chocolate, biscuits.

Drinks: Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, soup,


Overall, I have around 400,000 calories, designed to last me about 61 days at 6,500 calories a day, although I will eat more if I am going faster.

One regret, forgetting to pack loads of pork scratchings – which are one of the better tasting ways of eating lots of high calorie fat.
