John Wilton-Davies' South Pole Solo Expedition

NEW - John is taking on a new challenge in November 2008. Details of the first unsupported trip to the South Pole - and back again - can be found at www.lastgreatchallenge.com

In November 2007, I set out to walk alone and unsupported from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole.

After 60 days alone on the ice, and 1,000 km, my journey ended. This site gives background to planning and training for the expedition as well as daily reports and pictures from throughout the journey.
